Why, oh why Manhattan… do you make it so unbelievable difficult to get an apartment. Even after living here for so many years and renting you try to stop me from moving to something better. Why do you make me work with the most annoying broker possible. What’s that? Oh, she’s the exclusive broker to this apartment. Lovely. It’s as if she doesn’t want to take our money. I feel like I’m trying to give her that big sweepstakes check standing outside her door and she won’t answer. I remember back when I got the apartment I’m in now it wasn’t nearly such a process. In fact they were quite anxious to rob me of my money.
